Fruit Stand

Hours of Operation: 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. 7 Days a Week

Open June through September

For 15 years, we've served the Trans-Canada Highway. If you're coming from Vancouver, we're the first fruit stand on the Trans-Canada Highway. If you're coming from Calgary, we're the last fruit stand.Regardless of where you're coming from, don't forget to stop in! We carry lots of local meat, dairy products, snacks, and drinks as well to help you stock up.

Our fruits and vegetables are either from our own farm or from other farms and orchards in Secwepemc (Shuswap) Territory or Okanagan Territory. The business relationships we've nurtured ensures that we will have the freshest and best quality fruit and vegetables around. Our pies and cookies are made with these same fruits, which explains why they're so delicious.

Aside from our corn, all of our own produce is what we call "uncercertified organic". We believe that through good land husbandry practices, all food can be healthy for you and the land. We don't need certification to convince you, just taste our produce!

Throughout the season we bring in the following fruits and vegetables along with a few surpises:

Our Strawberries, available at the end of May until mid June
are fresh from our fields, brought in every day, unsprayed, no black plastic, and no synthetic fertilizers. We call them "Uncertified Organic". Prices may change, but our standard is $25 per 10 lb flat, $3 per pint, or $8 per large basket.

Our Raspberries, available mid July until the beginning of September, are also brought in fresh from our fields every day. They're unsprayed and use no synthetic fertilizers. "Uncertified Organic".

Our Peas, available mid June to beginning of July, are grown without synthetic fertilizers, are unsprayed, and are handpicked for quality every day. "Uncertified Organic". The season is short so be sure to stop in!

Our Tomatoes, available beginning of August until end of September, are grown without sprays, synthetic fertilizer, or black plastic. We have many heirloom varieties as well as paste tomatoes for sauces, canning, and drying. See our food blog for some good preservation techniques.

Our Cucumbers, available beginning of June until beginning of September, are the sweetest, freshest cucumbers you ever did eat. We use no sprays, synthetic fertilizer, or black plastic. Sometimes we have so many we have to give them away!

Our Corn is available mid August until beginning of October. It's the sweetest, most delicious corn this side of anywhere. Two things keep this corn from being good for the soil. First, in order to have early corn, we use a fungicide treated seed, and second, we rely on synthetic fertilizer to replace the nitrogen in the soil. We are currently working on methods to eliminate both of these practices using crop rotation and other methods. Please be patient with us and for now, enjoy the corn!

The other fruits and vegetables found at our fruit stand are from farms and orchards we know and trust. Stop in and enjoy the delicious cornucopia of produce that your farmers have to offer!

Peaches and Nectarines are available from the end of July until early September.

Cherries are available from late June until early September.

Apricots are available from mid July until mid August.

Plums are available from early August until the end of September.

Watermelon and cantaloupe are available from mid July until end of September.

Apples are available at the beginning of June, and then again from mid July until end of September.

Pears are available from middle of August until end of September.

In addition to our fantastic fruits and vegetables, we offer locally produced honey, meats, cheeses, chips, drinks and candles. We avoid carrying many of the corporate products that plague today's fruit stands, instead settling for less offerings of better quality and less packaging.

We think you'll find our prices quite reasonable as well.
